Cases of violent clashes are seen in the jails of some countries of South America. In the latest case,  a case of violence has come to light in a prison in Ecuador. Where 24 prisoners died in a violent clash between the prisoners defying the high security of the jail. 48 prisoners were also injured in this bloody clash. The Ecuadorian government agency has confirmed the incident regarding the fight for supremacy in the prison. 

Army handled the situation

According to local officials, such a scene had never been seen before in the jail. According to the statement issued by the administration, the situation was so uncontrollable that when things did not work out with the help of the police, the army had to intervene. After about 5 hours, the situation in the jail could be brought under control.

Guayas governor Pablo Arosemena said the situation was now under control. According to him, shots were fired in the violent clash, there were blasts along with knife waving. This violent clash took place between the 'Los Lobos' and 'Los Choneros' gangs in the prison.

In all the pictures shown on TV, prisoners can be seen firing from the windows of the jail. The Guas government also shared some pictures on its Twitter account, in which some cooks can be seen being evacuated from a part of the prison. Earlier, in July, more than 100 prisoners were killed in a fight at a jail in the country. At the same time, there was news of the death of 18 prisoners in the second jail.

Let us tell you that this is the third case of gang war in jail this year. Before July, in February too, almost a similar scene was shown, when 80 prisoners were killed. At present, the jail administration is investigating the matter as to how the weapons reached the jail on such a large scale.
